Maggie Valley stands head and shoulders above all
the places that boast a Smoky Mountains location.
We are surrounded by mountain ranges in all
directions and our higher elevations mean cooler
temperatures, more spectacular views, and cleaner
air. Maggie Valley offers numerous festivals, bluegrass music, multiple concerts, dancing, clogging, much more all throughout the year.
During the spring, summer and fall seasons you can
enjoy Wheels Trough Time Motorcycle Museum. &
Cherokee's Santa's Land Theme Park and Zoo.
For motorcycle enthusiasts, the Maggie Valley area is one of the
very best for riding. Deals Gap, also known
as the "Tail of the Dragon" for it's
318 curves in
11 miles, is a short scenic ride away, as are the Blue
Ridge Parkway and the Great Smoky Mountains National
Park. In addition to the well known routes, we have
thousands of miles of back road jewels that are
unknown to the average motorist.
The winter brings us
skiing, snowboarding and snow tubing. Cataloochee Ski Area
in Maggie Valley opens in early
November and closes in late March and
boasts the longest ski season in the
Southern Appalachian Mountains.
